DescriptionKick off the new year by planting with Friends of Trees! We will be planting a variety of native trees and shrubs at Durham City Park in partnership with the City of Durham and Clean Water Services -- and your help is what makes this community planting possible! RSVPs kindly requested.
Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and enjoy some breakfast treats and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and guidance, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes or boots – and be ready to have fun!
How do I register? All individuals and groups are kindly asked to RSVP to save your spot(s) by filling out our quick Registration Form. Registration is highly recommended but not required.
Under age 18? A signed youth waiver is required for you to volunteer. We ask that youth 15 years and younger are accompanied by an adult.
This planting is part of Tree For All, a partnership which has planted more than eight million native plants in the Tualatin River Watershed since 2005! Clean Water Services, Friends of Trees, thousands of volunteers, other non-profits, city partners, and private landowners will be working together this season to continue the success of this program.
